Introduction
The CHNP Dryers regenerates the desiccants using the heat of compression which otherwise is wasted to save a valuable energy. This heat is drawn from the last stage of the compressor. before the after-cooler. That's why it is worthy of paying attention to the piping connection before and after the after-cooler. The higher the hot air from compressor. the better the dewpoint. In case of the hot air is not enough to regenerate the desiccant completely, an auxiliary electric heater is normally utilized, boosting up the insufficient heat.
Features and Benefits
The CHNP Dryers are dual-tower units operating on a standard 8-hour cycle (4 hours drying and 4 hours regenerating). The split stream design with a cooling cycle reduces their IN/OUT P and minimizes dewpoint spikes at tower switchover. The cooling air branched out of the inletair, as in the drying cycle, passes upward through the desiccant with moisture before tower switchchover. Regeneration Coole-a shell and tube design with air in the shell side and water in tubes reduceds the air tempreature from the off-stream tower to below 45°C . Separator-a centifugal type with aerodynamic vanes. Inlet air enters on a tangent, revolves with centrifugal force along the vanes to throw off free water. Expansion chamber of this unit is generously sized to remove above 95% of the condensate carried over from the regeneration cooler.
